His Snow Fort.

The Canadian has been home alone for the past week. In that time, another 20 inches of snow has fallen on top of the several feet already on the ground. When too much snow accumulates on a house with a flat roof it must be removed so the roof does not buckle under the added weight. Tyler has a flat roof so he called The Canadian last weekend for a little help shoveling. The best way to do this is by climbing up a ladder with a shovel and pushing the snow off to one side of the house. That way, if there is enough snow, you can jump into the giant pile when you're done. And after that a snow fort can be built.  The Canadian and Tyler will demonstrate what the completed snow fort looks like from the inside.

Raise your hand if your special someone has built a snow fort this season? No? Does a little part of you wish you got to raise your hand?

Well, this is just one of the many reasons I married him. He has good survival skills (in case we find ourselves stranded on a mountain), embraces the winter (to keep me from hibernating), isn't afraid of a little manual labor (so I don't have to shovel as much), and can build one hell of a snow fort (because everyone secretly wants their own snow fort).

I realize some of you may need more photographic evidence of the snow fort. However, this is the only photo The Canadian emailed to me. I will be sure to secure more photos just as soon as I return to the winter wonderland.
